The Ambassadors'

K
enneth E. Kilgore, Artistic Director

The Ambassadors' Concert Choir is ably directed by a number of very talented choral artists, who bring a wide array of musical interests and talents to their work

They are:

Dr. Terry Spigner This dedicated educator has a lifelong love of music and is a talented pianist in addition to being a choral director. He has a knack for choosing arrangements that are complex, uplifting, and a lot of fun to sing. Dr. Spigner is a Professor of Special Education at the University of Central Oklahoma, and Assistant Minister of Music & Fine Arts at St. John Missionary Baptist Church.

Sandra D.Thompson has a passion for music, which is readily apparent in her directorial selections. She is especially fond of modern arrangements of traditional spirituals, and of modern and ancient classical music. Ms. Thompson assumed directorship of the Ambassadors' Children & Youth Choir in 2004, and brings her considerable talent to bear in the education and direction of our youngest members. She is an Assistant Professor of Music & Director of Choral Studies at the University of Central Oklahoma, and pianist and Cherub Choir conductor Evangelistic Baptist Church of Christ in Oklahoma City.

Norma Noble is known for directing some of the most soulful and reverent offerings of the Choir -- music that is certain to stir the soul of every listener. When she's not making music with the Ambassadors', Ms. Noble is the Oklahoma State Deputy Secretary of Commerce for Workforce Development. She is also Director of Music at Evangelistic Baptist Church of Christ in OKC. She has been with the Ambassadors' Concert Choir since its inception.

Dennis Scott
When he mounts the director's podium, the audience knows the choir is going to make a joyful noise. Watching him pour body and soul into the music is almost as inspiring as the sounds the Choir produces at his behest. Mr. Scott's energy and enthusiasm are contagious. Dennis Scott is an Assistant Choir Director at Evangelistic Baptist Church of Christ in Oklahoma City. He is also an original Ambassador.

D. Wayne Lee, is currently the Appeals Administrator for the U.S. District
Court for the Western District of Oklahoma. Although he
holds his Bachelors of Science in Management and a Masters in Business
Administration he also has started his second decade as Minister of Music
for the Wildewood Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.  D.Wayne has conducted workshops locally and nationally and brought talented
gospel artists to worship in the annual candlelight musical held at his own
church.  He plays several instruments including drums, piano, viola and has two songs copy written and waiting professional recording.

Jim Hemline

A comparative newcomer to the Ambassadors' family, Jim Henline's mighty baritone voice, broad experience in music education, and considerable directorial skills combine to create very fine music. Jim is an instructor of music at Putnam City High School.

Orlando Smith

"There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself." ~ Johann Sebastian Bach
